Clubs
Future Farmers of America
FFA is an organization that is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. I joined this organization my junior year along with my first agriculture related course, vet science. It not only taught me the skills I needed in order to be successful in the classroom but also helped improve my public speaking which was a huge challenge for me. |
Advanced via Individual Determination
AVID was the first organization i joined when I got to Lindsay High School. This purpose of this organization is to prepare students for success in college as well as in high school. This organization helped me stay on pace on all my classes and the first semester of my senior year my adviser helped make sure I had my college applications completed as well as scholarships which are very important. |
Medical Club
I joined medical club my freshmen year because I wanted more information on jobs in the medical field since I wasn't sure what career I wanted to go into at that time and it helped so much. The officers would try to get a variety of people in different medical careers to attend meetings and talk to the members about their job and how they got to their dream job. |
Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica
Spanish Honors Society is a club for students enrolled in any Spanish course above Spanish 3. I'm glad I had the opportunity to join this year and be part of the ceremony which was a great experience. Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano Aztlan
My freshmen year I also joined MECHA a club which encourages students more specifically Chicano students to pursue higher education and also to ensure the assistance for them. |
